February 8: A Poem, "Memorare," Good Night

Saint Marty is ready to say good night, but, before he does, he gives you Sarah Vap's poem...

Memorare

She who knew what a body was

and gave him one, help me to distinguish
mouth from cock.          Help me to distinguish

the son from the mother:  redeemer and
redeemed. It's simple to give glory be to the father, to the son, and to the holy ghost,

as-it-was-in-the-beginning-is-now-and-ever-shall-be-world-without-end-amen.  But you,
throw the counterweight.  You, window ajar.  You, the floors swept

daily.  You did make love and you did

dive deep into ourselves

within ourselves.  At the beginning or near
the beginning.  You, the true begin,

haven't I been faithful?

NOTE:  Saint Marty will talk more about Sarah Vap tomorrow.  He knows she's a little frustrating.
