June 3: Pavarotti

I'm watching a program about Luciano Pavarotti on public television at the moment.  It's full of beautiful music.  Uplifting.  Just hearing his voice makes my spirits soar.  I needed this show tonight.  When Pavarotti opens his mouth and sings "Nessun Dorma," I find myself actually believing that something better is possible in my life.

Now, I know that not everybody loves opera.  I don't think you have to love opera to love Pavarotti.  His voice was simply a gift from God.  Like a rainbow in a storm cloud.  I'm not going to say anything more.  The program's only on for a few more minutes, and I want to just sit back and enjoy it.
